In the midst of my struggle against injustice and constant pain - that ever present darkness that feeds on the lives of students from "a certain small college in no-where USA" - I have taken the part of advocate. Advocate for the dying voice of the simple college student trying to survive in the trenches of the communications department!
New communication students enter "the evil empire" much like a puppy enters the vet's office. Not aware that they are in need of the "fix" that awaits them on the other side of the counter.
Innocence is quickly squelched from willing participants. Their trust in leadership's organization and desire for bettering the lives of those under their charge dies a quick and merciless death in the torture chamber belonging to "heir Direktor der Kommunikation."
Uponst entering and giving the expected "Heil Direktor!" salute my comrades and I are herded into the waiting room to await our sentencing. The Direktor summons her favorites first, those known formally as "snake charmers," who are in her especial care. Said needs are petted and fussed over in royal fashion as would any Führer for their disciple.
The rest of the sorry lot are slaughtered. Single file the student comes needing a promise fulfilled, a class to graduate, or simply a word of guidance and is failed by this tax-payer supported regime.
As the rip-tide of increasing tuition costs begins to pull heavily on the already massive deficits caused by the nature of this "program" that is "protecting" the indentured servants of Generation Y inside of this maze or as we call it "the system."
How long will we stand by and watch? How many more lives need to be broken at the base of this precipice under the guise of higher education? Not a one! Says I... for I am that student!
A mildly humorous view on the recent struggles of a student in bowels of Washington State's educational system. I hope you duly enjoyed yourself.....sicko.

You Go Girl!!! Way to call out the system! In a very engaging way i might add. A fun read despite its frustrating context.
